West Lincoln Public Library offers more than just books for loan at all our branches. Check out some of the other neat things you can borrow at the library.
Video Games
Our growing collection of Switch games are available at Smithville branch and can be requested at all our branches. Video games can be borrowed for one week. Check out our video games (catalogue)
Maker Kits
Adults and kids alike can borrow maker kits from any of West Lincoln Library’s three branches. Kits include 3D printing pens with filament, ukuleles and more! Maker kits can be borrowed for 1 week. Check out what maker equipment is available (catalogue) and come get yours while they’re still on the shelves!
Board Games
New and Classic Board Games Available for loan at all three branches. Board Games can be borrowed for one week. Check out our board games (catalogue) and place your holds today.
Park Passes
In partnership with Ontario Parks, 3 single day use vehicle permits (catalogue) are available at all branches of West Lincoln Library. The program runs February 1st to December 31st, 2022. Valid library card holders can borrow the permits for one week free of charge! Passes are not renewable. In addition to the park passes, hiking/walking sticks will also be available to borrow from any branch (can be borrowed separately).
Nature Plus Passes (catalogue) have also been generously provided to each branch by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. These too can be borrowed by valid library card holders for one week free of charge. The Nature Plus Passes provide unlimited access to conservation areas across the watershed.
Sports Equipment
Borrow Tennis, Badminton and Pickle Ball sets at Wellandport branch and use them on the nearby tennis courts. Walking sticks are also now available at all branches. All you need is a library card. Sports equipment can be borrowed for one week. Ask at the circuation desk for more details.
Musuem Passes
The Art Gallery of Hamilton Family Pass membership card (catalogue) allows day use entry up to four adults (children and students of any age are always free) to visit the exhibits showcased at the oldest and largest art museum in Southern Ontario. You can see all current exhibitions including temporary, special and permanent exhibits.
Projector and Hot Spot Rental
Borrow a Projector or Wi-Fi Hotspot (catalogue) with your library card. Place a hold in the library catalogue, or contact us to request more information. Are available to borrow from any WLPL Branch. Mobile hotspots will connect you to the internet any time and anywhere. Hotspots and Projectors are holdable but not renewable with a loan period of one week. There is a $10/day fee for overdue hotspots.
Book Club Sets
Library Patrons can request book club sets from the library to use for their own book clubs. Book club sets can be borrowed for three weeks. Borrower is responsible for the return of all items in the book club set. Contact the library to to request a book club set.
