Summer Reading Club

All Branches
Visit the library this summer to register for our Summer Reading Club. Join in the reading challenge against the Grimsby Library. Plus, our champion reader will win a grand prize at the end of the Summer.
Register for fun, weekly programs that explore science, art, reading and technology.
Stories Under the Stars
Tuesdays July 9 & 23 August 6 & 20 @ 7pm
Wellandport Branch
Enjoy stories, campfire trivia and activities around the firepit in our beautiful Indigenous Healing Garden. Ages 8 to 12
Tour the Universe
Kick off this summer with a trip through the Universe! The Ontario Planetarium will be here all day July 9th, with presentations beginning at 11:30am.
Drop-in. Cost is $2 per person, per session.

Summer Craft Series

Take craftiness to the stars! Join us every Friday morning for exciting crafts in this six-week series. Recommended for children ages 6 to 10.
Out of This World STEAM
Mondays July 15 & 29 August 12 & 26 @ 6pm
Smithville Branch
A kid-friendly science, tech, engineering, art and math program centering around our TD Summer Reading theme: To the Stars! Learn how to use the Ultimaker 2+ Connect 3D Printer, Cricut Maker 3 and green screen to make designs and create out of this world projects!
Mario Party
Saturday August 31 @ 1pm
Smithville Branch
It's a me, Mario! We're celebrating the end of summer with our favourite mustached hero, Mario (Sorry Luigi!) Wear your favourite Mario gear and join us for ice cream, green screen photos with Mario, outdoor games and, of course, Mario Party on the Nintendo Switch! Drop-in.
*In the event of rain all activities will be moved indoors

Adult Summer Reading
Adults have the opportunity for some reading fun this summer with reading ballots. For every three books read you can enter your name into a draw for an Indigo gift card. Ballots are available at the library circulation desk.
