Local Art Shows
West Lincoln Public Library invites West Lincoln and area artists to submit samples of their work for consideration. We exhibit two-dimensional works including paintings, drawings, mixed media, prints and photographs at our Smithville Branch. Artists at all stages of their career will be considered.
Submissions will be reviewed regularly, display periods will be 3 months. Submissions for the autumn installation must be recieved by Friday, August 30, 2024. Artists applying to exhibit are encouraged to be familiar with the layout, lighting, and method of hanging. Art must be prepared for proper hanging upon delivery.
* The Library does not pay exhibit fees. The Library does not charge commission on sales nor act as an intermediary for sales. Patrons interested in purchasing art will contact the artist directly. Exhibitors are responsible for obtaining their own damage insurance for the contents of their exhibit.
We hope everyone is enjoying the summer weather, so far. As we roll into August, the West Lincoln Public Library is now accepting artist submissions for our upcoming September-December art display, celebrating the vibrant and enchanting fall season.
We are seeking submissions that capture the essence of autumn through various mediums. This is another wonderful opportunity to showcase the work of local artists and engage with the local community. Selected artworks will be displayed in our library, offering exposure to a broad audience of art enthusiasts and library patrons.
Submissions will be accepted until Friday, August 30, 2024. To submit your artwork for consideration use the forms below. Please include a brief artist statement with your submission, sharing the inspiration behind your work, how it relates to the theme of the display, and dimensions for the piece(s).

Theme: Autumn
Medium: Mediums that can be displayed safely on our art cube.
Submission guidelines: No nudity or explicit sexual content. No depictions of violence. Artworks featuring autumn related subjects, such as colours, landscapes, photography, wildlife, etc.
Anticipated show dates: Celebrating Autumn, September-December 2024
